The Feather Hut guarantees at the time of sale, that the bird is in excellent health and disease free to the best of our knowledge.

We provide a 3 day health guarantee.

If you believe there is a problem, it is your responsibility to notify us immediately.

The bird must be seen by an avian veterinarian within the guarantee period or the guarantee becomes null and void. We do guarantee all birds to be free of viral disease or congenital hatch defects. Our guarantee does not cover neglect, abuse, injuries, malnutrition*, or accidents. We do not consider a slight growth of gram negative bacteria post-shipping to be disease, but rather a stress-related reaction to being shipped.

If the baby is found to be ill or dies within the initial three days, as determined by an avian veterinarian, with documented verification, The Feather Hut will provide at our option a full refund, buy the bird back, a replacement of equal value when available, or payment for treatment.

Inconclusive findings from a necropsy will not be covered. Leg bands must be returned with the necropsy report from an avian veterinarian before refund or replacement will be given.

Your new bird should not be in the same airspace as other birds as many diseases are airborne and this will invalidate your guarantee.

We assume no responsibility for veterinary services for your new bird.
